Russ Pence – Denver Real Estate Agent, Broker Associate

My Client-First Philosophy- There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional – integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how we work. That said, in my experience as a Denver real estate professionals, I’ve also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first.  This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs. This “client first” philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I’ve found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I’ve always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They’ve also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients. So when you decide that you’d like to buy or sell a home in the Denver Metro marketplace, please contact me.

Background- I was born in Colorado, raised in Southern California, and found my way back to Colorado where I’ve lived for the past 20+ years. As a teenager, I grew up spending a lot of my spare time split between the public golf courses in Riverside, California and the beaches from Newport to San Clemente. My favorite beach was “The Wedge” in Balboa…for the big waves! I started my college education at Riverside Community College where I studied pre-engineering and played on the golf team for two years. From there I transferred to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where I received my B.S in Applied Mathematics. I started my professional career back in Southern California in the environmental industry with an engineering and consulting firm specializing in air quality and combustion optimization. Serving as a project manager for the better part of 10 years I truly learned and understood what it meant to put the client first by providing beyond-expectation customer service. From there I found myself changing directions a bit and began another phase of my career in the electric and gas utility industry working as an account executive with large customer accounts on energy management and electric distribution systems. Then in 2003, it all changed again. I was driving home from work one day and I stumbled upon a HUD listing that caught my eye. The next thing I new I was purchasing a fix-n-flip property and rehabbing it in my spare time. From there, I purchased many more distressed properties and either flipped them or held onto them as rental properties. This experience exposed me to a number of real estate agents who delivered a low level of service. It was then in 2007, I decided it was time to get my real estate license so I could work with and assist others like myself with expert real estate advice and beyond-expectation customer service.

Passions- I have a beautiful and successful wife named Kristine (who manages a commercial real estate company in Downtown Denver), five wonderful children ranging from pre-kindergarten to graduate school, and a six-year old German Shepherd named Tuesday all of whom keep me smiling everyday!  Some of my other passions include: backpacking in the Rockies, fly fishing, mountain biking (or single tracking as my 5-year old son calls it), skiing the terrain parks with my college-age kids, golfing, gardening, sustainable living, and 80′s alternative music.
